Tableau Rules and Regulations

One or more individuals can register per table. Registrants will use one 72-inch round table supplied by The Scottsdale Plaza Resort. During the design competition, registrants can set their table for six to 10 guests. During dinner, tables will be reset for 10 guests. As a result, registrants must provide a quantity 10 of all items that will remain at their table during dinner. Registrants can use chairs, place settings and table linens (i.e., white plates, clear glasses, silverware, underskirts/toppers/napkins in limited colors) supplied by The Scottsdale Plaza Resort or supply their own (any style/color). Registrants will also supply all other items to create their spectacular, over-the-top tables including runners, placemats, chargers, centerpieces, battery-operated candles, slipcovers, party favors, name cards, etc. Registrants can maximize their assigned 12’ x 12’ footprint by using props that can be set on the floor and/or surround the table (i.e., gazebos, columns, etc.). Neither IFDA nor The Scottsdale Plaza Resort is responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items. No design elements can be attached to walls or ceilings. No animals can be part of the table design. Registrants and their suppliers will be acknowledged on table placards. Due to health regulations, all table settings must be cleared by the registrants prior to dining (wait staff will re-set each table for 10 guests) and all design elements must be removed from the premises by 9:00 a.m., Sunday, November 15, 2009. Winners of the competition must be willing to have their names and entries published. IFDA reserves the right to limit the number of tables displayed. IFDA also reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of all entries for public viewing.
